TALENT SHOWS

ENTERTAINERS

The students at AC had a variety of
entertainments to sample this yean. There were
lectures and concerts. Among the favorite
lecturers were Mrs. Gwendolyn Brooks the poet
and Mr. Robert Short who shows with the use of
comic strips how the Bible pertains to todays
young men and women. We also had many singers
who came and sang the songs that we hear on the
radio (by the original artist]. Barry Drake came and
sang some original material. He and Marty Bear
were both accompanied by the twang of their
guitars. Ted Steranko also belonged to their
ranks. The classical tenor, Rolf Bjoerling enfused
class to this entourage of singers. This was ACC's
musical talent for the year. There were far more
lecturers than can be listed here, but they are all
sincerely thanked for the knowledge they tried to
pass on.

There were five student directed one act plays
presented at A. C.C. this yean. They were: The
Marriage Proposal, If Men Played Cards the Way
Women Do, The Boor, The Golden Fleece, and
The Lover. The two nights these plays were given
gave everyone who came fine entertainment.
